Abstract

The problem with determining the revolution speed of the shafts of machines is of great importance for contemporary mechanical engineering. Safe operation depends on detecting the bending of shafts and knowing the frequency of their use. This article reviews in detail how to balance, and the problems of imbalanced, rotating shafts with one disk. Special attention is paid to using empirical dependence to estimate speed and frequencies, the influence of eccentricity, and the importance of elasticity and rigidity to support.
